Blurb (www.blurb.com) held a worldwide competition called Photography.Book.Now and the event, being held Friday 10th October, will showcase the winners photo books and also offer a workshop on how to create your own photobook.
Speakers at the event include Darius Himes, founder of Radius Books, Stuart Smith of Smith Design, Dewi Lewis of Dewi Lewis Publishing, Chris Boot of Chris Boot Ltd, and photographer Simon Roberts.
Later, the event will exhibit the latest in self-published photography books from artists such as Beth Dow, Jonathan Smith, Cara Phillips, Ed Panar, Michael Corridore, Talia Chetri, Benjamin Lowy and many others. The showcase will also include work from the Winners of the Photography.Book.Now Grand Prize for Best Self-Published Photography Book.
The day will close with drinks where both amateur and professional photographers, artists and students are invited to meet and network with the best in the business over wine and canapés, as well as take the opportunity to promote their own work.
