Horror film fans

For all people who understand the concept of a horror film. That is that they aren't chillers or thrillers or slashers. They're horror. They're an unrealistic terrifying situation in a realistic location.

I think the scariest film I've seen was The Grudge. I think it's the way the ghost woman just looks at her victims with a little surprise. The little kid who never makes a noise spooked me out too.
We recently saw REC whihc is a spanish film and very good. They said that they wanted an original format but it's basically 28days later filmed like Cloverfield or Blair Witch with an element of the remake of Dawn of the Dead. Not original at all.... But I still enjoyed it.

[quote:3496ace15f="undefined"]I am in Japan now, and have to say that Sadako Yamamura (Ringu) is by far the most frightening character in horror film history. Someone should give Sadako her own "face" here.
But I am also a huge zombie fan/expert, and have seen every Friday the 13th at least 30 times. I also enjoy the new genre of horror-porn (e.g. Hostel, Rob Zombie films).

of course you'll know that the first friday the 13th film wasn't a horror. It was a slasher.
