Computer Nerds

Does the amount of Ram you have really make a difference in your life? Is your purpose in life a Terrabyte hard drive or a GX280 GPU? If so, come on in and declare your hardware - or just have a gab about anything computer related. Throw a problem in, and I am sure one of the guys will have an answer

I vote for Bruffy. When your undie draw is full of cables, you know you have issues.

Hi Bruffy, I use a program called Ultramon, which gives you a lot of control over your monitors, for example on the top right hand corner of each open window I have five small icons as opposed to your 3, the extra two allow me to either stretch the window over both monitors or just switch the app to the other monitors, with Ultramon I can also stretch wallpaper over both monitors.
My advice even if you have an old crt monitor in your loft is plug it in as having two monitors makesl ife so much easier, its just one big desktop with your cursor moving sweetly from one to the other, its quite common these day for people to chuck in another vga controller and use 4 monitors at the same time, I will never go back to using one.
have a look http://realtimesoft.com/ultramon/

Hi Ukuwi, I was always under the impression a pretty hoofing gpu was required to run 2 displays, I was obviously wrong. Now 3 monitors is just plain rude I really know nothing about running numerous displays form one pc, do you stretch the display over the 2 and run different progs in different screens?

Hi Bruffy, My graphic card is one area that lets my system down, I really should buy a decent one, at the moment I am using the one thats built on to the main board, that is running both monitors, I do intend to add a third monitor, maybe then would be a good time to upgrade my vga. cheers

And here is the top geeky question, what kind of graphics card do you have to use to run 2 x 22" monitors?
